In November 1971, according to the design of the Leningrad branch of GIPROAVTOTRANS (customer, Kaliningrad Automotive Administration, order No. 522-r), a bus station was commissioned in Kaliningrad based on Motorcade No. 1115.
On May 31, 1972, in accordance with Order No. 176 for the Kaliningrad Transport Department, the Kaliningrad self-supporting bus station was organized on the basis of the bus station of Motor Column No. 1115, to which they were transferred to the bus station in Svetlogorsk, Baltiysk, Polessk and in Guards .
On the basis of Order No. 5 of 01/07/1976, the Kaliningrad Production Association of Bus Stations and Passenger Bus Stations was created on the basis of the Kaliningrad Transport Authority on the basis of the Kaliningrad self-supporting bus station, and 15 operating passenger bus stations formerly owned by motor transport enterprises were transferred to it. In the following years, the enterprise was actively developing, and by the mid-80s it was a production association of two bus stations and 18 bus stations with a total passenger turnover of up to 6.5 million per year.
By 1992, as a result of post-perestroika processes, there was a significant deterioration in the material situation of the population, which led to a sharp decrease in passenger traffic, and, as a result, to a reduction in the routes carried out, and the closure of unprofitable bus stations. Record-low performance was recorded in 1998 - only 1.4 million passengers were transported through the company's bus stations and bus stations. This process was stopped only in 1999. Already in May of this year, the bus station was reopened in Zelenogradsk (closed in 2008), in 2000 in Krasnoznamensk, in 2008 in Slavsk, in 2009 - the Severny cash register in Kaliningrad (closed in 2010), in 2003 - a cash desk at the Khrabrovo airport (closed in 2005), a dispatch service at the Chernyakhovsk bus station, in 2004 - a dispatch service at the Sovetsk bus station.
Every year, the route network is improved and developed, new bus routes are opened, allowing to cover the settlements remote from the center of the region.
In February 2012, a unified dispatching service based on GLONASS / GPS based on the software of NPP Transnavigation CJSC was created on the basis of GP Avtovokzal. The Automated Navigation System for Passenger Transport Management, installed on the basis of the enterprise, allows you to receive real-time data on the movement of buses along the routes of the intraregional route network with subsequent processing and analysis to ensure effective control and regulation of passenger traffic.
The system provides high efficiency of centralized bus management, operational control and regulation of vehicle traffic, and also allows you to monitor the main violations and disruptions of flights, to control the high-speed mode of bus movement, which makes it possible to fulfill the requirements for ensuring the safe transportation of passengers.
On the basis of the Charter of the enterprise approved by the Committee on Property Management of the Kaliningrad Region on April 19, 1997, the Kaliningrad Production Association of Bus Stations and Bus Stations was renamed the State Enterprise Bus Station (order No. 11 of January 30, 1999). In July 2012, the company was renamed the State Enterprise of the Kaliningrad Region “Bus Station”. The state-owned enterprise of the Kaliningrad Region "Bus Station" is currently a single industrial complex, which includes:
- 2 bus stations in the cities of Kaliningrad and Sovetsk;
- 1 bus station in the city of Chernyakhovsk;
- 7 cash-control centers in the cities of Gvardeysk, Gusev, Slavsk, Krasnoznamensk,
